Adherence to Codes, Specifications and Timelines

Residential Projects:

At Royal View Windows & Exteriors we strive to do the installation right from the start. Our installation always includes:

  • Windows and doors shimmed to be level and square
  • Water barrier is applied to the seal of the opening overlapping 6” on the side studs
  • Bottom and top flashings with 1” end dams installed as required by the Building Code
  • Double low-expansion insulating foam pillow to fill the cavity between the window/door jamb and the opening
  • Caulking applied behind the top and sides of brickmoulds/nailing flanges for brick-to-brick installation
  • Caulking applied between the aluminum cladding, windows frames and exterior of the house for stud-to-stud installation
  • Clean up and debris removal

Safety:

At Royal View Windows & Exteriors we follow our professionally developed Safety Program. We’ve been holding a COR from June 15th, 2017. All required training, like Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, First Aid and WHMIS, is provided for our staff.

Installation FAQ

The rough opening should be 1” bigger than the window frame size to allow for foam insulation.

This depends on the size of the window and type of the installation. In general a crew of 2 people can install 4-5 average sized windows/day if they follow guidelines of the building code. Some windows may take a full day to install depending on their size,
type of exterior finish and framing or concrete cutting requirements.
